I liked it well enough. I got it because I saw the video of his talk on the same topic. But it left me feeling a bit.... "Is that it?"The concepts are/could be profound. However, I felt that there wasn't enough of instruction type of content to make it applicable. If I had to make a crude analogy, it was like someone saying, "Hey, I invented this great machine that will cut your commute time and automate 50% of your daily chores!" but then fail to mention how to actually operate it.In the end, I had to content myself with thinking of this book as an interesting book with an interesting concept that expanded a bit more of LOA. However, I wouldn't recommend it as a resource for those looking for actually learning how to apply the knowledge. For that, I'd recommend the Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting Playbook. That is truly step-by-step.

Like a lot of Gregg's recent books, this one walks on the shoulders of those that have preceded it. It's well written, and if you're not a long-term fan, it's a great read. But for those of us that have followed Gregg's teaching for years (as I have), not a lot new here and I can almost go to the other books and highlight the cut and paste. Sorry Gregg. I'm a fan, but you need another trip to Tibet I think.

I read lots of books--love them as a matter of fact. I like holding IT in my hands, turning the pages, etc. and being able to mark it up if I so desire. Yes, we now can do that electronically and I have nothing against it. Now, getting to this author. I've come across his books in the past and just have not paid to much attention to them. But, my life's journey has changed and a week or so ago I came across a video with Gregg Braden talking about this issue. I was so struck but it--it resonated with my most inner being, that I knew I just had to order this book. Well don't you know, I've read it--wept in parts of it and am now on my second reading. This time me 'think-est' that I shall do some underling, etc. I am moved beyond words and see how it has come into my life now at just the right time. As the saying goes, "the teacher appears when the time is ready!" (Or something like that, eh?) If your heart and mind is to know "how to fish"--i.e., to survive in a world such as this, then I guarantee you that this book will if nothing else, give you food for thought. If you can approach it with an 'open mind' and not disintegrate cognitively, your life will be changed.

As I work on affirming, manifesting and praying, the topic of forgiveness often surfaces as a prerequisite for spiritual growth (in many books). Honestly, forgiveness is a touchy subject for me and I tend to dismiss self-help literatures that casually encourage readers to practice unconditional forgiveness - regardless of how traumatic, damaging or hurtful the occurrence may have been. It's easy to tell someone to "let go," "release with love," and "move on." Those phrases mean nothing to me, especially coming from mere quotations in a book. This book promotes the practice of blessing - not synonymous to forgiving but - as an act of acknowledgment that the pain-bringing past has indeed occurred. By accepting it happened, the author says one can ascend past the rightness and wrongness of the occurrence and create a space of no judgement so new feelings and thoughts can enter. (don't worry, the author makes it much simpler). It's similar to the meditative notion of attaining pure awareness in between breaths - between inhaling and exhaling is a gap where you're neither breathing in or out, where your breathing has stopped. In this moment, your mind is dead, it has stopped, you are not thinking. The negation of thoughts allow you to immerse in complete awareness, void of mind-thinking. (for more, read Osho books)These states of no-mind and no-judgement is where spiritual transformations, emotional healings (forgiveness) and manifestations seem most possible and many reach these states through prayer and meditation.Reading this book, I felt the practice of blessing as a simple active meditation to consciously shift your awareness from the past hurt to a mindset of no-judgement, creating space inside of you to begin forgiveness and healing. The author's writing style is uncomplicated and easy to read. It's unnecessary to agree with his interpretations of religious evidence behind his beliefs, to appreciate this book.

I read so many of these types of books. Some stand out and this is one of them. Being spiritual I totally agree with feeling it is the prayer because I have had it happen to me many times. Yet, when I'm upset or lost I forget how it's done and my prayer becomes desperate words rushed then waiting. This book will remind me to fill myself with the feelings for what I'm asking for and to remember that beauty exists in bad and good . We need to be more aware of it, look for it.

For me personally, the author has put into words what has resonated within me. This book will help me along my path, as I will definitely re-read and refer to it as I continue life's journey.

I believe this is an amazing book and Gregg certainly does his research through traveling and understanding his subjects. His early books I found to be more pure in regard to the understanding of ancient truths and this is one of them. His search for man's connection to God through understanding the universe, science and ancient teachings is amazing. In "Secrets," he brings a newness to long-assumed understandings of what prayer is and how we 'do it'. I.e. To the Christian command: "Bless Those Who Have Hurt You", he offers a Blessing Template which states: "The key to receiving the Gift of Blessing is that it must (first) be offered" three-fold to: First, those who have suffered; Second, to those who inflicted the suffering; and Third to anyone witnessing the suffering p. 114 (This is especially helpful if we are ever affected while watching the violence reported on evening news.)
