The DeLorme atlases are excellent for showing such things as forest roads that standard atlases don't show. The NH atlas also has detailed maps of not only the cities, but of many of the smaller, but important towns that a visitor is likely to go through, like Littleton, Lincoln, North Conway, etc. It also shows major trails and trailheads, and does also show elevation contours and both mountains and prominent hills, but it is not a hiking atlas - for that you need detailed topo maps like in the White Mountain guide. But for finding the non-major-highways you may be interested in, this is excellent. It also has excellent listings of recreation areas, from state parks to campgrounds to fishing spots to ski areas to golf courses to historic sites to tourist attractions, etc. All in all the ideal atlas for anyone planning to visit NH.

New Hampshire has its share of Interstates, but it is the kind of state where it is worthwhile to get off the main roads and explore. New Hampshire has seacoast and beaches on the Gulf of Maine, while the White Mountains offer some of the best hiking and climbing in New England. Lake Winnipesauke offers boating opportunities, and there are dozens of small towns off the beaten path, each with their own charms. This DeLorme New Hampshire Atlas and Gazetteer is just the guide for exploring the state. The scale is sufficiently detailed to do good route-finding on country roads. The city inserts provide decent detail for getting in and out of towns. There is an included listing of campground, boat ramps, and parks. If you are planning to hike off the road network, you will need additional maps, but this atlas will get you to the trailhead. Highly recommended.

For map junkies, this is a beautiful product. This was a great aid for the driving parts of our New England fall color trip & I highly recommend it for that purpose. It also made finding trail heads for hiking easier. For biking, these maps have important limitations. It was impossible to read elevations off the contour lines. Photocopies of the maps to take on a bike ride as a route guide often did not reproduce the smaller back roads because they are represented by too fine a line. But this varies from page to page and between the Vermont & the New Hampshire atlas. Our much older Oregon Atlas is even worse in this regard. A competing atlas is much better in this regard at least for Oregon.

Lots of info that Google Maps doesn't have, these books are still the best if you want detailed, up close information of an area. Includes lots of public lands, fishing sites, boat launches, back roads, all at just the right scale.

Very nice atlas, detailed city maps, bought this for someone who is moving to NH and they just love it. Really helping as far as picking out a house and a city/town to live in!

This atlas gives the information that used to be available with maps...now not used as much because of maps on the internet. I like having hard copy to study.

Really wanted a good map of New Hampshire forvtge trip I was taking in a couple days. Got the map. It was missing two sheet of paper. Which means eight map pages. Not torn out, but actually not attached. Shame, because I don’t want the new version that seems to have less detail.

We have bought 6 of these now and they may not be as well perceived as a GPS however we camp frequently and travel in as many remote areas in the New England states and TN. A GPS can mess you up often however the printed date is most accurate. We will continue to use these for now while our friends are getting lost.

I’ve met a lot of ‘schmucks’ in the course of a long and varied career and I recognize most of them in this delightfully descriptive and entertaining book. You will recognize them as well. You will laugh as you identify the types of disrupters that can make your life a misery – and be challenged to be the impetus to change the dynamic.Vivid characterization, descriptive labels and readily recognizable traits make this book an easy read, simultaneously enjoyable and entertaining, yet of substantial value. As a lay person, I absolutely loved the insight into the world as seen through the eyes of a clearly talented and insightful psychiatrist. Sophisticated, elegant writing, erudite reasoning and sound logic lead the reader to beautifully commonsense, practical suggestions. What a fun read! This book goes beyond labels – giving workable suggestions for problem and conflict resolution. It’s one thing to recognize a problem; quite another to provide useful tools for resolution. This book does both – and does it extremely well. Background, logic, explanation provide empathy for the disrupter. Empathy, in turn, engenders incentive to problem solve. Clearly, this author is a problem-solver and enables you to do the same. Written in an earthy, commonsense, witty and wise style, this book is a treasure trove of valuable insight. Read this book – you will not regret it. Highly recommended!!!

The author, Jody J. Foster, MD MBA, addresses the different types of Schmucks, or disruptive and difficult co-workers, and the manner in which to deal with each type. There are many kinds of difficult people and each kind requires a different approach to handle them. The author addresses each personality type and offers solutions to deal with each one. This book, with a humorous title, is essential reading for anyone in the workforce or anyone having a relationship issue. Written in a sophisticated, yet practical manner was a great read. I wish I had this book 32 years ago!Any reader, most certainly, can relate to some of these co-workers the author details, either in the office or even in personal life. Also Note the NBC News article: 5 Kinds of Office Jerks: Are You One of Them?

This book is a must-read for anyone who has ever dealt with an impossible person (or people) at the office . . . which is basically everyone ever! The writing is clear, engaging, often funny and presents fascinating case studies that sadly resonate too well! By using her own experiences to bring the reader in, Foster deftly identifies different archetypes and unpacks what might be driving behavior among your co-workers that you are too infuriated or frustrated to understand and might dismiss as an undifferentiated JERK. In truth, there are many different kinds of difficult people and each requires a specific kind of approach to diffuse/deal with - this book provides those solutions with empathy for your suffering and their suffering along with practical, actionable advice. This should be essential reading for all offices, managers and underlings - and the advice can even be applied beyond the office to pretty much any human relationship. I loved this book!!!

Despite the title, this is a very compassionate book. Dr. Foster gives great, very readable background and insight on a range of disruptive personalities and how they affect the workplace. She then does a wonderful job advising the reader on how to manage these challenges with empathy and understanding. A great read!

Dr. Foster's books is a highly useful tool for all business people, regardless of your level of psychological training. If you lead others and want to be more effective in learning how to deal with difficult direct reports, or if you simply have co-workers that you feel are "schmucks" and want to know how to deal with them, this is your book. And part of the genius of the book is that in reading it you will start to see aspects of your own personality reflected in the different chapters. I know I saw parts of myself in at least three chapters! And as you will learn, if you don't see any elements of yourself in any of the descriptions, you might have even bigger problems! I've had the chance to see Dr. Foster present her material live at the Wharton School and she not only knows her stuff, but she's a highly enjoyable (and funny) speaker as well. Highly recommended.

Clear and concise description of the tapestry of human frailty alive and well in the workplace! Really well-written. Foster describes the troublemakers, what makes them tick and gives practical suggestions about what to do about them. And she certainly seems to have seem a lot of them. I'm sure I'll be a better manager and leader if I follow her advice.

Good Book. Easy to read and understand. The book will help you open up to the different kinds of people out there and how to deal / work with the Schmuck in the office.

I recognized myself!

A waste of time and money. Narrow listings with stupid questions of agents. I replaced it with the excellent reference: Writer's Digest Guide to Literary Agents 2019.

I really enjoyed this guide. It was informative and provided a glimpse into the minds of hundreds of literary agents and editors. This book presents invaluable information for every author. I’m grateful to have access to so many tips about publishing. This guide covered topics including the initial query letter, independent presses and the top 5 Publishers, just to name a few! I highly recommend this book if you have written or are thinking of writing a book.

I like this book. He gives you a lot of information on the agents. What types of books they represent, who they are, and what they believe. This book will help find a good fit, which I believe is good for both parties.

I’m almost done with this book, and it has been a joy to read. I can tell the author has a soft spot in his heart for writers. That being said, he doesn’t give anyone the impression that this business is a breeze for anyone involved. Honest and informative.

Just ordered it, look forward to reading it.

I had previous versions of this book, but I noticed the new version does not have Canadian presses or university presses. I would have appreciated knowing why that was done. But it's a good resource.

From School Library Journal

Grade 8 Up–When acclaimed South American journalist Paul Faustino begins his interview with World Cup soccer star El Gato, he expects to be recording the thoughts of a goalkeeper at the height of his career. He never envisioned hearing about a young, lonely boy growing up in the middle of a rain forest, who wandered upon a mysterious soccer field and an apparition that appeared to him daily and trained him to become the greatest goalkeeper ever known. Is El Gato mad? Is he suffering from hallucinations due to the stress of the game? Is there some truth to be discovered in his fantastic tale? Only at the conclusion of the interview and the resolution of who the Keeper really is and what he is waiting for will readers even think of putting down this fascinating book. Peet achieves his expressed desire to write an entirely new kind of soccer story, not only including the experience of play, but also mesmerizing readers with a supernatural mystery in a tale about relationships, loneliness, and believing in oneself. This is a well-written, fast-paced sports story that addresses far more than just the sport itself. Fans of Chris Crutcher's sports-themed novels will want to pick up this selection by a new and talented writer.–Kathryn Childs, Morris Mid/High School, OK Copyright © Reed Business Information, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc. From Booklist

Gr. 9-12. Published originally in the United Kingdom, this unusual novel won the 2004 Branford Boase Award and was short-listed for the Nestle Children's Book Prize. Framed as an interview between a South American sports reporter and the world's best soccer goalkeeper, the now 30-year-old "El Gato" relates how he developed his skills, achieved great fame, and won the coveted World Cup. His story is one of poverty and isolation in a small logging community, of strong family ties in a beloved jungle being inexorably denuded, and of intense focus on the game of soccer. If a coming-of-age tale meeting an environmental message framed by sports narrative weren't enough, a mystical element is added, as El Gato describes his rigorous soccer training by a ghost in a magical clearing hewn from dense foliage. El Gato's remembrances do not consistently take the reader with him, and disparate elements don't always gel. Rich depictions of family and forest are marred by stilted, implausible dialog and choppy transitions between present and past. With its lengthy descriptions of the game, this may appeal most to soccer fans. Holly KoellingCopyright © American Library Association. All rights reserved

I read this book for the schools summer reading program. I am a teacher and a former soccer player and coach. Even though the story as elements of fantasy and the supernatural, and is a sports story, it is, at its core, a story of family, of struggle, of growing up, and of giving back. The story is told as an interview between the world's best goalkeeper and a reporter. Through a long night of questions and answers, of fantastic stories and life growing up in the rain forest, the man who just helped his country win the biggest game in soccer, the World Cup final, tells the reporter, and US, the readers, what is truly important.A must read for soccer fans and sports fan. But also a great read for anyone who enjoys a story with a message.

This was an assigned book for my son’s summer reading. He ended up not liking it, so he switched assignments after starting this book. He said no matter how hard he tried, this book just couldn’t keep his interest and bored him. He’s 13.

This is not just for young adults as the back of the book implies. My son is a 16 year old select soccer player on a top ten team in the state of Washington and he loved it. So my wife read it and she liked it as well. So I read it and was surprised at how entertaining the story was. The mystical, or fantasy element wound around a very realistic story made for a great read. For those who actually play keeper (also called goalie or goalkeeper), the detailed scenes explaining how the keeper "reads" the leaning tendencies of the kicker as he shoots are incredible and actually taught my son, a midfielder, some things about shooting so as not to give away the direction of the shot. Keepers would get the same insights about shooters. And for those not into the esoterics of soccer you will surely enjoy the wonderful storyline of the underdog fighting through adversity.

The author shares his love and knowledge of this sport in a fantasy about a poor boy who is groomed to be the best Keeper in the world. The writing is so well done that even if you don't know soccer, you can picture the action and cheer for the saves! Imbedded in the story is a political cry to save the Rainforest. That message is effectively delivered but never gets in the way of an exciting story.

Loved this book! Would be great for middle school kids. It has a great story with a sweet twist at the end.

Summer reading project he enjoyed the book.

I am a fan of fantasy, not sports stories. And yet, from the opening lines, I was hooked. At its heart, it's the story of finding yourself and of honoring those who come before. Passing this along to my daughter to read!

so I had to read this book for school and when I first saw it I was like oh no it's gonna be those stupid school books that you don't get anything from its. I was completely wrong. The first page got me going and I would finish meals early just so I could go read it. It got you on the edge of your seat like what's gonna happen next? It was s intense but interesting. I got totally recommend this book!

The back cover says that it is "The handbook of Byzantine art for lay readers and specialists." As a lay reader (though I have read rather extensively about other periods in art and history), I did find it about one level above what I would expect from an introductory text. For example, the author on numerous occasions would go into some detail to explain the dating of a particular object, rather than use that space to describe, for example, its artistic style, or how the object (or others like it) was used or experienced by the people of that period in history. In part for that reason, I did not find this "brisk" reading as one reviewer put it.The back cover also says that the author overturns the myth that Byzantine art (BA) remained constant. He does indeed go into great detail to show how BA of a given period was the product of a variety of factors, and how a given piece of art was different. But, again for a lay person, what is salient is how so much of BA was in fact fairly consistent in style and subject matter, and for so long, due its spiritual function. For my money, I would have liked to read at least as much about its continuity as about how much it changed. There was also no map in the book, even though it is about art in many different countries. And finally, although he organized his chapters chronologically, he roamed pretty freely with the art he was discussing, such that he regularly went into things, at length, that chronologically belonged to a previous or forthcoming chapter. All that said, I did learn a lot from the book, and would recommend it to anyone with more than a beginner's knowledge of this period in art history. (You can get that beginner's knowledge by first reading Wikipedia's entries on 1) Byzantine art, 2) Icons, and 3) the Byzantine Empire.)

As an art teacher it was very helpful to my understanding of this time and style of art.

Knowing little about Byzantine Art, this book provided great background on the development of Byzantine art over time, placing it in historical perspective. I was concerned that it might have too much detail but it presents a nice balance between presenting necessary details without overwhelming the reader with too much information.

This was a required text for an art history class. I found it to be okay as a source of information. The presentation is not very user friendly and the writing is a bit dense. Art historical texts can be dense anyway but this one is dense in areas that could have been written less dense. The author gets mired down in conjecture. I found several spelling errors, which is always a pet peeve of mine.

I bought this book as an art history textbook, and I wish I had bought the text as a physical book. The kindle images don't accompany the text referring to them, and as such it is difficult to follow. The images are all in black and white, which for an art history textbook is a major fault. It is impossible to appreciate this art with the current kindle photographs. That being said, the text itself is interesting and a good introduction to the richness of Byzantine culture as expressed in art. I recommend buying the physical text rather than the e-book.

It is an excellent book.It is very easy to read and comprehensive.I like it, I recommend this book.

An extended history beyond description of art objects, makes understanding what art in the Byzantine Empire represented. I loved it!

i wanted more icons and less writing. robin cormack is an expert and his details about these icons is appreciated

The kids have enjoyed these, but I was hoping for more basic single digit math facts. This makes the color-by-number aspect a little awkward as they have to identify what range of numbers the answer falls in (50-64 or something) in order to identify what color to use. They've been able to figure it out, but I think they lose interest more quickly than they would if it was something more simple, like color all 5's red, all 8's blue, etc. The older kids who are a little more practiced in math are less interested in coloring Pokemon. Still, a great idea and they have had some fun with it.

Great! Finally a pokemon that has a purpose. Kept my little boy I tutor engaged and excited about practicing. He has autism and he is not easily entertained.

I bought this for my 8 year old. I was worried because the description didn't say what level math it was. It is perfect for my 3rd grader. It starts with simple math facts and then goes to two digit number addition and subtraction. It also has some easy multiplication and division. I would highly recommend this book.

My 8 yr old has enjoyed these. We use them as an extra math practice for our homeschool. The problems are pretty easy but there are a lot of them on each page so it's a lot of practice. The pictures are fun to see after they're colored.

While I’m not sure it’s a liacensed product, it’s a cool idea. The authors did a great job planning the equations and layout. It was appropriate for the second transitioning into third grader this purchase was intended for. Although they were worried we wouldn’t have all the colors, it wasn’t a problem.

My kid loves this book (6yo), he's not quite to the harder math pages, but loves them all so far.

My math hating Pokemon loving kid love this book. A very big win! It has a lot of math problems on one page but after a big she can tell what the image is and can use her deduction skills to complete it as far as I in concerned that's two skills being practiced at once.

Great idea, but very repetitive. That in itself isn't bad, but my son gets bored quickly doing the same problems over and over. Squares are small so it's a LOT of coloring. If you have a kid that doesn't like to color, I wouldn't recommend.

Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling, by Bret Hart

From Publishers Weekly

Hart's account of his professional wrestling career is almost literally blow-by-blow, with detailed descriptions of the choreography of many of his most prominent matches in the former World Wrestling Foundation and the now-defunct World Championship Wrestling. (And, yes, he freely admits that the outcomes are determined in advance, while the wrestlers work out the actual moves for themselves.) To hear him tell it, everybody hailed him as the best damn worker in the business, a storyteller with the comparative artistry of a De Niro. But the manipulative schemes of WWF head Vince McMahon (and several of his colleagues) kept Hart from reaching his full potential as a champion until injuries sidelined him for good. The memoir goes deep into Hart's family history—his father was one of the pioneers of the Canadian pro wrestling circuit, and his brothers and brothers-in-law followed him into the business. Wrestling fans will eat up all the backstage drama, but even those who don't care for the shows should be impressed by Hart's meticulous eye for telling detail—the bittersweet story that results is simultaneously a celebration and an exposé. 32 pages of photos. I had Bret Hart's book on my nightstand for nearly a year, holding off on starting the book due to its length of 550 pages. Once I did finally dive into the book, I finished it in three marathon reading sessions. As a kid who grew up on 1980s WWF, I found the stories and details of specific werestlers fascinating. The reason I went with four stars instead of five stars was because, as awesome as the stories were, the continual self-congratulations do get rather overbearing at times.Seemingly everyone mentioned in the book had their "best match ever" against Hart -- from Yokozuna to Tom McGee. Bret also points out in the book that he carried Ric Flair to great matches and repeatedly mentions that he never injured any wrestler during his career to the point that they were unable to work the following night. Hart also pointed out that when he injured his ribs during a match with Dino Bravo, horror washed over Bret when he realized that his selling was so realistic that no one would be able to tell he had been legitimately injured by a dive into the ringside railing. After a while, the self-congratulations just became too much,.But there is no doubt the book is one of the best wrestling books out there. As expected, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Vince McMahon all come off looking very bad in the book. Another guy who Bret crushes in the book is the Ultimate Warrior. Hart tells the story of Warrior blowing off a dying child from the Make A Wish Foundation, and says it was one of the worst things he ever saw during his wrestling career. To me, the funniest story in the entire book was Bret talking about pranking Dick Murdoch while in Dubai. Hart notcied a pair of soiled underwear on the floor under a bench in the dressing room and switched the soiled underwear with the clean pair Murdoch had hanging on a hook. Upon seeing the dirty underwear where his once clean pair had been, an exasperated Murdoch blurted out, "All I know is there must be a **** freak running around here, because somebody **** in my underwear, and I'm dang sure it wasn't me." LOLHart also writes extensively about the Dynamite Kid, calling him the best wrestler he ever saw while also repeatedly stating that Tom Billington suffered from "Small Man's Syndrome". Hart openly wonders if Billington ending up in a wheelchair wasn't karma for his repeated cruelty during his career. When Bret talks about his own adultery while on the road, he seems to give himself a pass by writing that his many adulterous relationships may have saved his life because he was not into drugs and steroids nearly to the degree of his contemporaries in the sport. The many self-congratulations aside, it is hard not to feel sad for Hart when he talks about the death of his brother and how it ripped his family to pieces over money and how culpable Vince McMahon was in the death of Owen Hart. Bret recounts conversations he had with Owen in which they agreed that the wrestling business was not worth dying over, and the vivid dreams Bret had about Owen after his brother's death. This is one of the best wrestling autobiographies you can read, but just be aware that the book comes with lots of self-congratulations mixed in with plenty of great stories (both positive and negative) about nearly every big name wrestler of the 1980s and 1990s.

This book is SO GOOD. Bret talks- about his wrestling adventures in the ring,- his outside exploitation’s outside the ring with other wrestlers,- a good explanation of WCW downfall, Shawn Michaels with his ridiculous politics,- Hulk Hogan trying to bury his push before Hogan went to WCW- His Stampede days just trying to make a dent in the wrestling industry- Wrestling abroad, and he talks about Bruiser Brody death with certain details not most wrestlers know.- His relationship with Eric Bischoff with in depth detail- Bret talks about HHH and Shawn trying bury Rock’s rise to the topGet this book......And theeres so much more too...

Bret Hart was my favorite professional wrestler as a kid. As someone born in 1984, I was born into two golden ages of professional wrestling, being young enough to fall in love with the super hero, larger than life characters of the 1980s, coming to appreciate the technical ability of the "new era" early 1990s, and then being the target audience for WWF's turn towards the raunchy in the Attitude era. I marked hard for basically every angle up until I was 16, and Bret Hart's autobiography is written for those fans who followed his career. The book is surprisingly well written, and seems to authentically be coming from Hart. It lacks most of the cliches that are inflicted on readers in other wrestling autobiographies, but Hart does stray into some tiring analogies especially at the end of each chapter. The mood of the book is largely melodramatic, which can be tiring, but melodrama seemingly followed Hart for most of his career and so its apt.The book is written for someone who understands the world of professional wrestling and is beyond the premise of works and shoots. Even if you're not a smark, if you just know what a smark is, then the book is written for you. Hart struggles with the tone of the book and who it is written for, at times going into depth explaining the intricacies of the business as if the book is written for a mark, but then in the next paragraph using industry lingo that even a seasoned dirt sheet veteran would have to look up. Hart does this also when he name drop lesser known wrestlers without mentioning their gimmick, but then will reinforce the gimmick for wrestlers everybody knows. When Hart talks about Dwayne Johnson, he seemingly always reminds the reader that Rocky Maivia would go onto become The Rock, which is something that even non-wrestling fans known, but then Hart will constantly mention people like Carl Demarco ("Carlo") without giving the context of who they are. Hart mentions his relationship to Carlo early in the book, but after having dozens and dozens of wrestlers names dropped, he doesn't follow up with Carlo's relationship with WWE, himself, or others. For even a seasoned smark like me, I found myself having to use the Kindle's look-up feature often. But what is most interesting about Hart's autobiography is actually the story he doesn't tell, it's a look inside the mind of Bret Hart, and how he sees himself and the world around him. Now, mind you, I was a huge Bret Hart fan throughout my childhood, and I am exactly the fan that Hart felt the wrestling industry was moving away from. I *hated* Jerry Lawler as a kid, I didn't like DeGeneration X when they feuded with Hart, I even didn't like Steve Austin during his Hart feud, it's tough to find a bigger mark for Bret Hart than I was as a 12-year-old. But as an adult, it slightly depressed me reading the book because Hart's portrayal of every event in his life shows someone who is not able to take responsibility for things that he should legitimately take responsibility for. Hart seemingly assumes too much blame for things that he should not take responsibility for (like the death of his brother Owen), while looking for a scapegoat with events in his life that he alone had control over, most notably, his numerous extramarital affairs that he goes into great depth covering in the book. Hart admits to having affair after affair, but always excuses them -- the road, his wife's seeming mental instability (Julie gets absolutely shredded throughout the book, and it sounds like she's bipolar), events behind the scenes. This inability to accept responsibility plays out in Hart's business dealings in the WWF as well and how he manages his angles and relationships with other wrestlers. He has an inability to accept even partial responsibility for some of the negative turns in his career, incessantly projecting blame to other wrestlers, McMahon, the Clique, Hogan, or any other actors that he faces throughout his career. This is apparent in interviews that Hart gives today, particularly if you watch the round table discussion between Jim Ross, Hart, and Shawn Michaels about their relationship: Michaels, for all of his faults in his career, seems to have accepted his wrong doing and wants to make up for it. Hart, on the other hand, seems intent on restating what he's stated throughout his career and is unable to move on from events which he likely has at least partial responsibility for. I can only imagine that when Hart expresses how he's slighted throughout the book that this same mental block that he has accepting partial responsibility motivated some of those events. As a Bret Hart mark and with a profound respect for his ability to craft a character (something that he steadily improved on throughout his career), part of me has always yearned for Hart, Vince, and the other huge names in professional wrestling, to reveal that Harts career (and everything around it) was one big work, to quote Hogan, that I'm such a jabronie mark that I can't tell when a work is a work and when I've been worked into a shoot. It's one of those death bed confessionals that the mark in me would love to hear: "Michaels, McMahon, and I worked a 20-year shoot," but reading Harts autobiography is such a compelling look into the often depressing world of professional wrestling and the personality of Bret Hart, that it has entirely dispelled that dream of mine. From a simple product review point of view, I would give the book 5 stars but it isn't without faults (other than the personality faults of Hart). Hart spends an inordinate amount of time detailing dozens of matches early in his career. He mentions how he maintained a journal throughout his career, and this absolutely shows, as he recalls specific spots, reactions, and the outcomes of so many matches that no person could recall that. While these details provide a true panorama of Bret Hart's career, it comes at a cost, as Hart seemingly has to rush through some of his most memorable feuds and in some of the strongest spots in his career. For instance, Hart will talk at length about matches in the 80s in New Zealand, Australia, Puerto Rico, or the circuits in Canada and the United States, but then fails to go into any real depth about some of his most memorable feuds like with Jerry Lawler, which was a two year feud and one that defined Hart's face character in the early-to-mid 90s. This is a probably a combination of needing to rush through the meat of his career to expand more on the beginning, the turning point ("The Montreal Screwjob") and the end, and possibly Hart building a narrative about being the WWF headliner at the time. The details about his early career are appreciated from a broader perspective, but while Hart will go into depth about many forgotten wrestlers from the 1980s in the NWA or independent circuits, he doesn't provide that same perspective for much of the mid-90s WWF talent. If 'Hitman' were a wrestling match, Hart might have to agree that he might have spent too much time building the storyline to a match with technical mat wrestling in the beginning, only to rush through the climax with a botched finisher.Still, I would recommend this book to anybody who has a deep interest in the history of professional wrestling.
